We will apply for funding at the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinsschaft (DFG) after 15 February 2020 to invite the maximum possible number of 30 guests from Africa. Please note that not all costs can be covered but only flight and accomodation for 4 nights. So you should have additional funds for visa application, transfers and food etc.
You cannot apply directly. If you have submitted a paper proposal the convenor(s) of the panel will contact you before the 15 February if she or he has taken the decision to nominate you for the application. There will be only nomination per panel. We will try to achieve gender balance in the application. Important note: DFG is not funding MA or PhD students but only PhD holders. People not working in science like artists or business(wo)men cannot be funded.
As the application process may take some months we are expecting a decision in July 2020 only.
