The 2018 conference of the African Studies Association in Germany (VAD e.V.) will be hosted by the Institute of African Studies and the Centre for Area Studies at the University of Leipzig. Both institutions participate in the university’s research profile area on “Global Connections and Comparisons”. We have therefore chosen “African Connections” as the VAD 2018 theme.
